2016 TASH Conference has ended
Each year, the TASH Conference strengthens the disability field by connecting attendees to innovative information and resources, facilitating connections between stakeholders within the disability movement, and helping attendees reignite their passion for an inclusive world. This year’s conference theme, “Gateway to Equity,” explores inclusive communities, schools, and workplaces that support people with disabilities, including those with complex support needs, in living a fair, just, and balanced life. I am the Executive Director at the Academy of St. Louis located in Chesterfield, MO. We serve students grades K-12th with learning differences. Many students remain at the Academy through 12th grade, however, many of our students transition to other area schools after they experience our personal, individual, educational program. Our program includes academic, social, functional curriculum within a classroom with 7:2 student to education specialist. The Academy is a faith-based school embracing the Catholic faith. We are accredited by AdvancEd.
