2016 TASH Conference has ended
Each year, the TASH Conference strengthens the disability field by connecting attendees to innovative information and resources, facilitating connections between stakeholders within the disability movement, and helping attendees reignite their passion for an inclusive world. This year’s conference theme, “Gateway to Equity,” explores inclusive communities, schools, and workplaces that support people with disabilities, including those with complex support needs, in living a fair, just, and balanced life. Development Director

Dawn Brown serves as the Director of Development for TASH. Dawn is responsible for all aspects of fund development for TASH, including securing support of the conference through sponsors, writing grants, promoting annual giving among the membership and building community relationships.

Dawn has over 20 years’ experience in education, fund development and business development, and much of her career has been entrepreneurial, including launching and operating two businesses. She holds degrees in special education and healthcare administration, and her background and experience brings a unique perspective to her role at TASH to secure financial support for advancing equity, opportunity and inclusion for people with disabilities.

Earlier this year, Dawn, along with Edwin Canizalez, secured a grant with the Administration on Community Living to provide training and technical assistance to 8 states to improve employment outcomes for youth and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
