Each year, the TASH Conference strengthens the disability field by connecting attendees to innovative information and resources, facilitating connections between stakeholders within the disability movement, and helping attendees reignite their passion for an inclusive world. This year’s conference theme, “Gateway to Equity,” explores inclusive communities, schools, and workplaces that support people with disabilities, including those with complex support needs, in living a fair, just, and balanced life. Little research has been devoted to the study of community parent resource centers (CPRCs) serving culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) families in their own communities. CPRCs provide information and emotional supports to parents with children with disabilities. The purpose of this research is to gain an in-depth understanding of CPRCs. After this session, participants will be able to: 1. summarize parent-to-parent supports for CLD families 2. summarize how CPRCs support local communities 3. explain features of support most meaningful to families
